Community Emergency Response Team (CERT):
The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) program provides training to citizens so that they may provide efficient and effective emergency assistance to their community during a disaster until emergency services arrive. Through the CERT training, citizens learn a variety of emergency skills including how to provide medical aid; safe search and rescue; effective volunteer organization; utility management; small fire suppression; and disaster data collection.
